About
Ady Barkan, an activist and one of Time Magazine's Most Influential People of 2020, has been fighting for social justice for historically underrepresented and marginalized communities since his youth. After being diagnosed with ALS in 2016, he took on a new battle to shed light on the inequities in the American health care system. Despite the challenges of living with an incurable, debilitating disease, Barkan and his wife, Dr. Rachael King, invite audiences to spend the day in the life of a person with a disability in need of homecare, as Ady prepares to head to Los Angeles, California for the premiere of the critically acclaimed documentary film about Ady's advocacy entitled, Not Going Quietly, directed by Nicholas Bruckman. Many supporters of Barkan, including Pod Save America Co-Host, Jon Favreau, attended the premiere in Los Angeles.
